Uddhav should himself demand President’s rule: BJP
Kolhapur Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) state president Chandrakant Patil on Thursday hit out at Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, saying the CM should ‘himself’ demand for President’s rule in the state considering the Coronavirus-impact in Maharashtra.
Mr Patil, who was in Pune for nearly sixteen days after announcing lockdown arrived Kolhapur for the first time during the lockdown, while talking with reporters today, said that, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), an alliance partner of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) state government led by Thackeray, was trying to insult the CM.
“Before much humiliation, he should call the central government for the imposition of president’s rule in the state,” he said.
However, Mr Patil added that even if the CM demand of president rule in the state, Prime Minister Narendra Modi would not accept his demand as he (Mr Modi) love democracy.
