Rahul does not have basic understanding of subjects: Nadda
New Delhi BJP president Jagat Prakash Nadda on Saturday took potshots at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, saying that he does not have the basic understanding or sufficient knowledge of Novel Coronavirus crisis, hence, he keeps on saying confusing things.
On the occasion of completion of first year of second term of the BJP-led government at the Centre, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mr Nadda said Mr Gandhi does not understand any subject in depth.
”For this reason, he keeps making confusing statements again and again. He sometimes says why the lockdown was not imposed early and sometimes says that the lockdown is not a way to fight Coronavirus.”
He has the habit of politicising things, Mr Nadda maintained.
The BJP president said Mr Gandhi does not do a deep study on the corona crisis or any other subject, and such a situation is created due to lack of correct information.
”But, he is the leader of a big political party, so he says, what can we do about this,” he said, adding that the world was praising the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the unimaginable Corona crisis.
”Mr Modi’s efforts have made a huge difference on this epidemic in the country. The Prime Minister has taken the right decisions at the right time,” Mr Nadda said.
In response to another question, the BJP leader said that Congress did not do responsible politics during the pandemic crisis.
”This is why political allegations – counter-allegations, are very unfortunate. Whereas, BJP believes only in service.
”BJP workers are involved in the service of the nation, but we did not propagate it. All the workers in the country are returning home from the cities, our workers made arrangements for their stay and food,” he said.
The BJP leader charged the Congress leaders with misleading people through video-conferencing.
He admitted that the pace of all activities has slowed due to this unimaginable crisis, but under Mr Modi’s leadership, India is learning to live with Corona.
”We are increasing the health and medical capacity of the country. Looking at the situation every day, we are inventing new ways every day. The whole country stands with the leadership of Mr Modi,” he maintained.
