Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party president Ravinder Raina was tested positive for novel Coronavirus on Tuesday.
“Hello Friends, I was in Kashmir / Bandipura for 5 days after the assassination of BJP leaders Mr. Wasim Bari, Mr. Omar Sultan and his father in Bandipura by terrorists, today I had a mild fever, got the test done, COVID-19 + in the report, No other Symptoms .. Jai Mata Di”, Mr Raina tweeted in Hindi.
Union minister Jitendra Singh who accompanied Mr Raina to Bandipora, has also put himself under self-quarantine as a precautionary measure.

Meanwhile, six persons, including a CRPF jawan, five patients from Kashmir and one from Jammu, died due to COVID-19, taking the death toll due to the infection in the Union Territory of J&K to 194.
With these deaths, 158 people have lost their lives due to infection in 40 days, and 178 people in 54 day in J&K, where the COVID-19 positive cases have surpassed 10,800-mark.
